78^th George Lee Invitational

The Dallas Handball club are proud to host the 78th George Lee Invitational, the oldest invitational handball tournament in the United States. Since its inception in 1947 the tournament has grown to be one of the pre-eminent tournaments in the nation. The roll of honor includes many current and former pros, national champions and world champions such as: Johnny Sloan, Jimmy Jacobs, Paul Haber, Pat Kirby, John Bike, Allan Garner, Paul Brady, Adam Bernhard, Sam Esser and Martin Mulkerrins but to name a few. We are also excited to partner with the WPH and to have both the Men's and Women's Pro divisions as WPH R48 Pre-Qualifiers

Dates

Play begins at 5:00 PM on Friday Jan. 24, 2025 and concludes by early afternoon Jan. 26, 2025

Entry Fees

$60 per player for first event, $30 for second event; juniors and college students first events are $30, second events are $10 ($50 for non-participant desiring access to hospitality and tournament souvenir).  This year we are asking all players to register individually for the tournament. If you are a collegiate player, please select your university at registration, and if your organization is paying on your behalf, you can indicate this as well.

Big-Ball players can receive a $20 discount by using code BIGBALL.

Fee includes T-shirt souvenir and hospitality. Other souvenirs may be available for purchase.

Deadline

Entries must include fees and be received by Monday, January 20^th. Seeding committee reserves the right to reclassify or deny any entry, as well as combine or cancel divisions.

Rules

WPH scoring in effect for pre-qualifier matches. Scoring for other events may be adjusted as well depending on participation. Current USHA rules apply otherwise. Eye guards are required. Losers referee. Check Tournament Desk following loss. Check in at Tournament Desk 10 minutes prior to your match dressed, and ready to play.

Start times will be available on BracketAce.com Friday morning, January 24^th.

Awards

First and Second place awards to all division finalists and to Consolation winners.

USHA Membership Required.

Donors

Proceeds from this tournament will be donated to the USHA First Ace Development Program Fund, which supports youth and collegiate handball. We welcome donations in any amount.
