  • Use directions to the University Ave Ramp to avoid event rates on Friday the 11th. The Washington Ave Ramp will cost more.

    The student-led Handball Club runs the Gopher Classic to support year-round activities. The U of M also has one of the premier handball facilities in the country and your involvement helps to keep those courts available to our state, region, and communities beyond. Anyone who can play or help should do so out of appreciation for the Club's service to The Perfect Game!

    Register right here on Bracket Ace with a bank card or, if paying by other means, have the tournament director enter your registration (checks to "USHA").

        •  Minimum age: 60
        •  Upper players paired with lower players
        •  Assigned/Seeded/Played all on Sat. April 12th
        •  Reduced fee: $47 (two divisions: $67), welcome gift waived

    Can't play or attend? These are some of the other ways to show your support!

    • Apply to become a course instructor: UMN Careers (external applicants).
      • Search 'handball' to find the Teaching Specialist posting.
      • Submissions should be made several months before the intended semester (i.e. no time better than now).
      • Time commitments are simply those to which candidates and the U of M agree.
      • The more applicants, the better!

    *** By registering, players agree that they understand there is risk of injury and the use of protective eyewear is mandatory for all. They, for themselves, their heirs, executors and administrators, waive and release any rights and claims for damages they may have for any injuries that may be suffered by them in connection with their participation in the Gopher Classic and release the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, all employees, and sponsors from any claims. To participate, players will be asked to sign a copy of an official waiver, which has additional terms and can be found here. ***
